Chapel of the Pious Congregation of Merchants and BankersOn the right side of the Church of the Most Holy Martyrs, you have the access, through the Jesuit's college, to the Chapel of the Pious Congregation of Merchants and Bankers, constituted in Turin in 1662. In the same year the congregation found hospitality in the premises owned by the Jesuit order, but only in 1692, for the will of the prior Antonio Provana, was here realized a new chapel made by the transformation of the pre-existent premises. Chapel of the Pia Congregazione During the years the building underwent a great transformation, based on a project by Bernardo Antonio Vittone, with the demolition of the porticoed court and the construction of a new façade (1769). Inside, the architectural structure of the space reserved to the sanctuary is very simple: it is constituted by a rectangular hall with a double height, covered by a cloister vault richly decorated with frescoes depicting Heaven, Prophets, Sibyls and Biblical episodes, by Stefano Maria Legnani, called the Legnanino. The light filters in the chapel through a system of windows and on their sides there are stucco frames containing representations of the Epiphany's glorification, the presbytery, depicting the "Adoration of the Shepherds", is a work of art og the Jesuit Andrea Pozzo.
