Church of Santa ChiaraThe church is part of a much more vast complex, nowadays almost completely lost; there are left the worship building, the choir and part of the beautiful cloister. Entrance of the Santa Chiara church The first building had Gothic shapes, and it was entirely rebuilt between 1742 and 1745 on a project by Bernardo Vittone. The Clarisse nuns managed the convent until 1842, when they were moved by Carlo Felice to Carignano; they were replaced by the Visitazione nuns. In 1930 the convent passed to the Piccole Serve del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, who are still there. Inside, there is little of the original décor, while the space has not changed, stressed by balustrated little choirs and by the elegant game of light generated by large windows. The façade, noticeable only by a glimpse, has an extraordinary compositive elegance, and also the portal is very elegant, decorated by vast cartouche and contained within a flat templar pediment.
