Church of the Corpus Domini

Erected in 1603 on the project by Ascanio Vittozzi in order to remember the miracle of the SS. Sacramento (1435); it has a marble façade made of two super imposed orders, realized by Francesco Lanfranchi (1671), with four statues by Bernardo Falconi.

The internal environment, formed by a single nave, is enlightened by a three-mullioned window, placed on the entrance portal.

The dècor, made of polychromatic marbles are the result of the intervention of Benedetto Alfieri (1752-1753).

On the nave's sides there are six chapels of rectangular plan. The nave is covered by a barrel vault, frescoed by Luigi Vacca (19th century).

Between the second and the third chapel, there is an enclosure which holds a tombstone that remembers the place where, by tradition, the miracle happened.
