Church of the Santi Martiri Solutore, Avventore and OttavioConsecrated to the patron saints of the city Solutore, Avventore and Ottavio, the church was built by the Jesuits in 1577 based on a project by Pellegrino Tibaldi. Church of the Santi Martiri Inside there is a single nave, placed side by side of two chapels in each side which are not profound, and originally it is sober for its furniture and decors: only after the Canonisation of 1622 of Ignazio di Loyola and Francesco Saverio, the first Jesuit saints, the decoration and the side altars were enriched; in 1678 Andrea Pozzo frescoed the vault (surviving the angels beside the organ). After the siege of 1706, the area of the presbytery was radically restructured based on the projects of Carlo Giulio Quadro (choir, dome and bell tower). Filippo Juvarra made a project for the high altar and, in a new sacristy, the altar of Sant'Ignazio and the lavabo (1733-1734). Bernardo Antonio Vittone worked on the new marble flooring of the presbytery and the restoration of the façade (1768-1770). Of the 1840s it is the intervention of re-décor, by Luigi Vacca.
